We always love a good barn wedding, and this sweet event at Gedney Farm doesn't disappoint! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Gedney Farm, it's a beautiful renovated barn (two, actually!) in the tiny village of New Marlborough, Massachusetts...tucked away in a remote corner of the Berkshires. I've always felt like the weddings held here are in a world all their own...with no cell service (or GPS!), the couples who marry here are able to have their guests fully present, and it truly makes for a special, intimate affair.Read More
On Saturday, September 24, 2016, Molly and Garrett were married at the Egremont Village Inn in Egremont, MA. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were held on the grounds of the Inn. The evening's itinerary created a dynamic flow throughout the beautiful Inn and property. The evening concluded with an after-party in the Inn's newly renovated Barn. The theme was "rustic chic"- combining the elegance of a classic formal wedding with the casual ease and informality of a weekend away at a country inn.Read More
Elana & Ben were married at The Mount in the Berkshires. My heart is still overflowing with gratitude and joy. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have been a part of Elana & Ben’s wedding and to have had the chance to get to know them as a couple. In spite of a heavy rain that presented some challenges that were unexpected, the unstoppable forces of love, kindness, family and teamwork made the wedding sweet and beautiful. The quote of the day was “Man makes plans and God laughs.” Everyone just smiled and rolled with it. Plus, they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. =)Read More
Their wedding was a small family gathering, with sweet, candid moments between loved ones. The intimacy of the small group allowed us to capture genuine and quality time between Erin and Sean and all of their guests. I think this type of wedding is so special, and the honor of being in attendance among the dearest people in their life is not lost on me.Read More
They might have made their first connection online, but they realized during one of their first conversations that their paths could have crossed a long time ago when they were children playing on the same beach in the same small Stockbridge lake community where each one's grandparents owned a summer house.Read More
It's hard to believe that we're closing out another year! 2014 was one that brought some exciting new changes to my life, my business and the wedding industry in the Berkshires! With Christmas just behind us, New Year's just around the corner (and the kids home from school for the entire holiday season!!), I've been having a hard time getting motivated to post another blog! But then I remembered a fun, sparkly New Year's Eve wedding that Tricia McCormack photographed at Cranwell, and knew there was no better day than today to put this one out into cyberspace!
Most of the weddings we post on here reflect warmer temperatures and rolling green hills, but honestly, I don't think there is anything more magical than a winter wedding in the Berkshires. Take a look at Dana and David's beautiful snowy wedding, and I'll bet you'll agree!Read More
A note from Jaclyn: Rebecca and Carlton’s fall Berkshire wedding at the Country Club of Pittsfield was filled with lots of love and emotion. Rebecca and Carlton are both fabulous musicians and met 11 years ago while working on a college musical production. It wasn’t until years later they found true love. The two of them are “old souls rekindled by each other’s passion for life, love, laughter and music.”Read More
My wife and I have known Alex for a few years – she was a Fall intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival where we work every summer. She moved to New York City, and she started nannying for a good friend of ours – later to become her flower girls!
Then Alex moved back to the Berkshires and worked at Kripalu Yoga Center teaching yoga. Both she and Justin taught yoga. The two of them are just delightful. The sweetest, most generous, thoughtful people.Read More
Everything about this wedding makes me want to gush. The color pallete of ivory, yellow, champagne and gray chosen for this wedding was stunning against the backdrop of Gedney Farm. It was breathtaking to walk the fields filled with goldenrod as Jessica and Matthew walked together and we captured their portraits.Read More
What really stood out to me at Joe & Darius’s wedding was their warmth, care for their family and guests and deep love for each other. They had a beautiful, full weekend together – starting off at a rehearsal dinner at the Norman Rockwell Museum, and ending with a brunch at their private home. Really, every wedding I photograph has this caring and warmth, but Joe & Darius’s wedding stood out because I was there to witness three full days of their joy and love.Read More
A word from Jocelyn: In the words from the Princess Bride “Mawage. Mawage is wot bwings us togeder tooday. Mawage, that bwessed awangment, that dweam wifin a dweam… And wuv, tru wuv, will fowow you foweva… So tweasure your wuv.” But seriously these two!Read More
To Amanda and Frank their alma matter holds more than the typical sentiment, it's also the place where they met their freshman year and fell in love. Williams College holds amazing memories of times together and with friends who were now the same people to stand beside them as they exchanged their vows to take care of each other always at the Thompson Memorial Chapel.Read More
From Liz: June 7th was one of the most-requested dates of the 2014 bridal season, and I was fortunate to be able to accept two weddings that day – the first of which took place at a luxurious B&B in the beautiful Berkshires (just a stone’s throw from Tanglewood!) Devon was easygoing, upbeat, and overall a delight to work with, as were all seven of her friends and family that I had the opportunity to beautify that morning. I’m so glad her fabulous photographer recommended me!Read More
From Liz: Maria came to me after seeing my work on the Berkshire Wedding Collective site, and promptly grabbed my last available June Saturday. She works in theater, and has the engaging personality to match – and she loves her makeup bold and lashes long! I used a Sephora cream lip stain in a vibrant fuchsia shade to create a long-lasting bright lip, and black eyeliner and shimmery champagne on the lids to set off her incredible blue eyes.Read More
From the photographer: When I first met Dave and Rachel it only took minutes for me to see they have something special. They love one another with every ounce of their being. Light as a feather and as deep as the sea.Read More
One of the most striking things about Lauren and Jeff’s wedding in the Berkshires (besides how gorgeous Lauren looked, the amazing love and tenderness between them and the amazing venue on top a mountain) was the deep rooted, long-time friendships that surrounded them. Lauren and her bridesmaids have all been best of friends since the fourth grade and now they get to walk each other down the aisle! It was like the whole day was wrapped in one big gigantic group hug.Read More
Stunning, stunning, stunning....is there another way to describe such elegance?
Rachel & Brian took my breath away with their attention to all the right details. Wheatleigh exemplifies excellence in every way and Lisa Light of Destination Bride executes planning to perfection. This winning combination creates a post I can't wait to share!Read More
