Savana and Justin found me through the Berkshire Wedding Collective. They put their wedding together in three months. They booked the space, they booked me, they booked everything in such a short time. They’ve been together for several years, but when they decided to get married they wanted to do it quickly. And they did it beautifully! They knew what they wanted, and I was impressed.Read More
We always love a good barn wedding, and this sweet event at Gedney Farm doesn't disappoint! For those of you who are unfamiliar with Gedney Farm, it's a beautiful renovated barn (two, actually!) in the tiny village of New Marlborough, Massachusetts...tucked away in a remote corner of the Berkshires. I've always felt like the weddings held here are in a world all their own...with no cell service (or GPS!), the couples who marry here are able to have their guests fully present, and it truly makes for a special, intimate affair.Read More
Hilary & Jonathan’s big day featured a real Berkshire wedding dream team – event planning and design by Tara Consolati, flowers by Crocus Hale, rentals by Classical Tents and Rentals Unlimited, lighting by Julie Seitel… These are wedding collaborators I have the good fortune to work with often, and they are so skilled and gracious and kind. It is a total delight to see them at work. Tara knows how to take a couple’s vision for their wedding day and bring it completely to life. Crocus’s floral designs are out of this world. Classical Tents has everything you could possibly need to make your wedding day beautiful and stress-free. And Julie gives each wedding such incredible light and energy. Being a part of the luxury wedding community in the Berkshires is a joy.Read More
LeeAnn and Sohit were married in the Berkshires at the same church where LeeAnn’s parents were married – St. Peter’s Episcopal Church. The church was gorgeous, with beautiful Tiffany stained glass. Before the ceremony, we had a really nice time making portraits at The Mount of LeeAnn & Sohit and their families. Everyone was so kind.Read More
Emily and James were married at Gedney Farm. The weather was perfect, and we were able to make some great portraits outside while the sun was setting. Gedney Farm always does a fantastic job at making couples feel at home and have exactly what they want for their wedding. I will never get over how gorgeous it is at Gedney!Read More
Kate & Evan were married at the Red Clover Inn in Killington, Vermont. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding & so full of love from family and friends. The fall colors were beautiful and we took advantage of them while making portraits. We were able to make a photo from above of all the wedding guests, which is one of my favorite things to do – my wife and I really cherish the photo we have of all our family and friends together on our wedding day.Read More
Mary & Todd were married at Gedney Farm. It rained, so the ceremony was inside, but a Gedney Farm wedding is beautiful rain or shine! They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so we snuck a few portraits in between cocktails and dinner. The rain had stopped, and we were able to do them outside.Read More
Elana & Ben were married at The Mount in the Berkshires. My heart is still overflowing with gratitude and joy. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have been a part of Elana & Ben’s wedding and to have had the chance to get to know them as a couple. In spite of a heavy rain that presented some challenges that were unexpected, the unstoppable forces of love, kindness, family and teamwork made the wedding sweet and beautiful. The quote of the day was “Man makes plans and God laughs.” Everyone just smiled and rolled with it. Plus, they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. =)Read More
Jenn & Brian were so fun. They didn’t want to see each other until the ceremony, but then made plenty of time to make portraits during the cocktail hour. It worked out better for them and for the pictures, because the light after the ceremony was so much prettier, softer and dramatic. Pre-ceremony portraits that day would have been tougher to make in the direct overhead sunlight.Read More
Cassie & Dan made engagement photos with me in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan. They are fun together and like to make each other laugh. Their wedding had that same quality – their friends and family loved to laugh, too. Cassie & Dan’s wedding was my first time photographing at Cranwell in the Berkshires. The grounds are so pretty, and the inside of the mansion has beautiful detail. At this point I think I’ve photographed a wedding at every major Berkshire venue!Read More
At Erin & Doug’s wedding, the weather forecast was threatening rain, which put the ceremony inside. It didn’t rain after all, so they were still able to have cocktails and make portraits outside. Still, it was cool to see that even though their plan was to have the ceremony outside, bringing it indoors was perfect.Read More
Looking out my window today--and stepping outside to enjoy the near-60 degree weather--I just knew I had to feature a beautiful Berkshires wedding that was lush and green and sunny. So when Christopher Duggan sent me Janine and Victor's gorgeous wedding that took place at one of my favorite wedding venues in the Berkshires--The Mount in Lenox--I knew I had found "the one!" There is just so much I love about this wedding...from the stunning gardens and architecture that make The Mount so special, to Janine's gorgeous dress, her amazing flowers and that adorable book-turned-ring-box! Oh, right...and I love, love, LOVE the bridesmaids' dresses in that bright sunshine yellow! Take a look at all the lovely, below, and I dare you not to smile just a bit! :)Read More
A word from Christopher: Christine & Will had their wedding at Stonover Farm, which is a pretty exclusive place to get married, because they can only do a handful of weddings per year. It was my first time photographing a wedding at Stonover Farm and it is definitely one of the best barns in the Berkshires.Read More
My wife and I have known Alex for a few years – she was a Fall intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival where we work every summer. She moved to New York City, and she started nannying for a good friend of ours – later to become her flower girls!
Then Alex moved back to the Berkshires and worked at Kripalu Yoga Center teaching yoga. Both she and Justin taught yoga. The two of them are just delightful. The sweetest, most generous, thoughtful people.Read More
What really stood out to me at Joe & Darius’s wedding was their warmth, care for their family and guests and deep love for each other. They had a beautiful, full weekend together – starting off at a rehearsal dinner at the Norman Rockwell Museum, and ending with a brunch at their private home. Really, every wedding I photograph has this caring and warmth, but Joe & Darius’s wedding stood out because I was there to witness three full days of their joy and love.Read More
I think I might just be the luckiest girl in the world. Every day I get to sort through beautiful images of weddings all over the world, but none are quite as special to me as the ones taken in the Berkshires. I'm beyond thrilled with the photographers I have in the Berkshire Wedding Collective, and am excited to bring you one of Christopher Duggan's today. Held at Wheatleigh (which I may have mentioned--on more than one occasion--is one of my favorite places!), Carol and Joel's wedding pictures had me wiping away a tear or two! Beautifully captured by one of my favorite people!Read More
Alee & Bill’s wedding was my first wedding at Jacob’s Pillow. I was excited to use my 8 years of knowledge of the Pillow grounds to do my best job for Alee & Bill.
I loved seeing how they transformed the Duke Theatre into a beautiful wedding venue, and I loved how I was photographing a wedding but working with some of my Pillow people like Dora and Ariana. As always, it was a pleasure working with Mezze Catering.
