Elana & Ben were married at The Mount in the Berkshires. My heart is still overflowing with gratitude and joy. I can’t tell you how lucky I feel to have been a part of Elana & Ben’s wedding and to have had the chance to get to know them as a couple. In spite of a heavy rain that presented some challenges that were unexpected, the unstoppable forces of love, kindness, family and teamwork made the wedding sweet and beautiful. The quote of the day was “Man makes plans and God laughs.” Everyone just smiled and rolled with it. Plus, they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck. =)Read More
A word from the photographer: When I first met Tricia + Ariel last year I felt as though I had known them my whole life and on their wedding day, I could not have felt more at ease around the two of them. They are just so genuine, honest, funny and warm that you instantly feel a gravitational pull towards them. Their Fall wedding at Stonover Farm in the Berkshires of Massachusetts was radiant and beautiful just like the two of them and every moment and detail was photographing paradise. I especially loved the bride's ridiculously elegant gown, the seamless dual-faith ceremony and just how effortless every handmade detail was -- it was just perfection and I am so excited to share a little selection from it!Read More
Jenn & Brian were so fun. They didn’t want to see each other until the ceremony, but then made plenty of time to make portraits during the cocktail hour. It worked out better for them and for the pictures, because the light after the ceremony was so much prettier, softer and dramatic. Pre-ceremony portraits that day would have been tougher to make in the direct overhead sunlight.Read More
With fun and fitness kicking off the big day, the bride and groom and a few friends began their morning with a run in the Tanglewood Memorial Day Weekend 5K. Ambitious! Later that afternoon, guests arrived for the wedding celebration at Stonover Farm in smart, fun and formal attire. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a signature Gold Rush craft cocktail and spiked rhubarb shrub. The attentive staff butlered canapés to festive guests as they relaxed into the bucolic setting. Daire, our farm-focused chef, created a house-made charcuterie and local vegetable board, which was placed beneath the weeping willow framing Stonover’s charming pond. A family-style meal featuring short ribs with roasted farmed and foraged spring vegetables followed in the attractive and elegantly decorated barn space. Handmade chocolate-peanut butter bars were a perfect conclusion to a terrific meal.Read More
Before November there was no circumstance I could have imagined that would cause me to miss one of my couples' special day. As a wedding photographer we bind ourselves to the dates our brides and grooms reserve us for, well in advance. I personally believe they've made such an important choice when selecting their photographer and it's a commitment I take very seriously.Read More
When Jocelyn from Love Bird sent me this wedding at the Kemble Inn in Lenox, MA, I just couldn't wait to show you this gorgeous red wedding dress! What a bold statement from such a lovely bride! And it goes just perfectly with the bright turquoise walls, don't you think? Great choice, Renee!Read More
We couldn't have planned a more perfect day to get married. Life is beautifully unpredictable, so we were blessed by getting married in Narnia. We got two feet of snow on our day, which provided the perfect backdrop for vows and photos.Read More
It's hard to believe that we're closing out another year! 2014 was one that brought some exciting new changes to my life, my business and the wedding industry in the Berkshires! With Christmas just behind us, New Year's just around the corner (and the kids home from school for the entire holiday season!!), I've been having a hard time getting motivated to post another blog! But then I remembered a fun, sparkly New Year's Eve wedding that Tricia McCormack photographed at Cranwell, and knew there was no better day than today to put this one out into cyberspace!
Most of the weddings we post on here reflect warmer temperatures and rolling green hills, but honestly, I don't think there is anything more magical than a winter wedding in the Berkshires. Take a look at Dana and David's beautiful snowy wedding, and I'll bet you'll agree!Read More
My wife and I have known Alex for a few years – she was a Fall intern at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival where we work every summer. She moved to New York City, and she started nannying for a good friend of ours – later to become her flower girls!
Then Alex moved back to the Berkshires and worked at Kripalu Yoga Center teaching yoga. Both she and Justin taught yoga. The two of them are just delightful. The sweetest, most generous, thoughtful people.Read More
Everything about this wedding makes me want to gush. The color pallete of ivory, yellow, champagne and gray chosen for this wedding was stunning against the backdrop of Gedney Farm. It was breathtaking to walk the fields filled with goldenrod as Jessica and Matthew walked together and we captured their portraits.Read More
What really stood out to me at Joe & Darius’s wedding was their warmth, care for their family and guests and deep love for each other. They had a beautiful, full weekend together – starting off at a rehearsal dinner at the Norman Rockwell Museum, and ending with a brunch at their private home. Really, every wedding I photograph has this caring and warmth, but Joe & Darius’s wedding stood out because I was there to witness three full days of their joy and love.Read More

From Liz: June 7th was one of the most-requested dates of the 2014 bridal season, and I was fortunate to be able to accept two weddings that day – the first of which took place at a luxurious B&B in the beautiful Berkshires (just a stone’s throw from Tanglewood!) Devon was easygoing, upbeat, and overall a delight to work with, as were all seven of her friends and family that I had the opportunity to beautify that morning. I’m so glad her fabulous photographer recommended me!Read More
From Liz: Maria came to me after seeing my work on the Berkshire Wedding Collective site, and promptly grabbed my last available June Saturday. She works in theater, and has the engaging personality to match – and she loves her makeup bold and lashes long! I used a Sephora cream lip stain in a vibrant fuchsia shade to create a long-lasting bright lip, and black eyeliner and shimmery champagne on the lids to set off her incredible blue eyes.Read More
Stunning, stunning, stunning....is there another way to describe such elegance?
Rachel & Brian took my breath away with their attention to all the right details. Wheatleigh exemplifies excellence in every way and Lisa Light of Destination Bride executes planning to perfection. This winning combination creates a post I can't wait to share!Read More
I’m so excited to be sharing this gorgeous wedding from last season. Karin Tanabe is a novelist and her first book The List is getting great reviews. It only makes sense that she would want to get married in the home of one of her favorite authors, Edith Wharton. Sweet Monday Photography did such an amazing job with these photos. You can see how crazy Karin and Craig are about each other and how much creative energy Karin put into planning her classic all-white wedding.Read More
I am giddily excited to be bringing you a Mount wedding that was recently featured on Style Me Pretty! Sara and Eddie were wed at The Mount last May. It was a day that was traditional, classic, and unforgettably stunning. Sara took the design into her own hands by doing all the address calligraphy herself and creating a painted version of the Lime Walk (the aerial hedge in The Mount’s garden) for her invitations and programs. It rained on the big day, but that didn’t keep the dedicated couple from heading outside to take some shots. I’m so glad they did because it led to some gorgeous photos by Elario Photography which you can swoon over, below!Read More
It’s always a cool vote of confidence when someone who works in the cosmetic industry hires me for their wedding! NJ-based Carla has worked for cosmetic manufacturers and has an encyclopedic knowledge of product formulation, and described herself as “very choosy” about makeup. It was a pleasure geeking out with her about makeup and serving up a little Hollywood glamour for her wedding in the Berkshires!

Last weekend signified the kickoff to the busy 2014 wedding season and no better to begin with such a wonderful couple. Kaitlyn & Billy were married on April 26 with a ceremony at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lee, MA followed by a reception at the Berkshire Hills Country Club.
When checking the weather prior to the wedding, clouds with rain drops were displayed hour after hour. I had multiple plan B scenarios lined up, after all, a photographer has to be ready for the unexpected! I wouldn't have imagined that, when those church doors opened after Kaitlyn & Billy walked down the aisle, the sky was a brilliant blue and the sun shown down on them as they walked out of the church. You could even hear the guests gasp in surprise, it truly seemed like a blessing.
Before the ceremony, I spent some time with Kaitlyn as she and her bridal party got ready at Cranwell Resort. Billy and his groomsmen were there as well, but we kept the couple apart until Kaitlyn actually went down the aisle at St. Marys with her dad. You may remember from their engagement session that this was the same church that Kaitlyn's mom and dad were married in. You could see both couples' love reflected in everyone present.
After the ceremony, I hopped on the party bus with the bride & groom and their bridal party and headed back to Cranwell for pictures. It was the perfect setting for formals and the group pictures. The Berkshire mountains make for the perfect background, no matter what season it is!
Next we were off to the reception at Berkshire Hills Country Club. The Club was transformed with all the beautiful details provided by Kaitlyn and Billy. Knowing that Kaitlyn owns her own organic natural skin care line, Zen Society, I knew she has an amazing eye for classic, fresh details but I was blow away by how amazing everything looked.
The party started in earnest when the couple arrived. You could feel the strong connection between all of their close friends and family. The wedding party hit the perfect mix between having tons of fun and honoring the bride & groom with their memories and love.
Thank you Kaitlyn & Billy for allowing me to share in your special day. I loved every minute of it, and I am so pleased to share these highlights with you from the day.
Special thanks to JaclynL Photography and Lisa Goudey for shooting along side me!
